Let your skin touch the ground as often as you can because you are a bioelectric being.
Grounding 👣 is physically touching the Earth's surface with the soles of your feet or with the palms of your hand.
⚡️Stronger than any antioxidant. ⚡️
⚡️More potent than any anti-aging serum. ⚡️
⇢ Promotes vitality.
⇢ Increases sense of wellbeing.
⇢ Decreases pain.
⇢ Decreases inflammation.
⇢ Improves sleep.
⇢ Decreases stress hormones.
⇢ Accelerates recovery.
⇢ Increases endurance.
⇢ Improves circulation.
⇢ Improves blood pressure.
If you realize how much each of these impacts your physiology, then knowing that standing on our electric planet for free accomplishes them all becomes pretty mind blowing.
There’s a lot of science behind how it works but simply put, you are a fleshy battery and the Earth and Sun are your charger. We should panic more when we haven’t had time to touch the ground than we do when our cell phones drop below 10%.
There is plenty of research supporting the benefits of grounding but it doesn’t make anyone any money so you will probably never see it being pushed by the medical community as a treatment. It’s crazy to think that there is so much more that is impacted but we either haven’t studied it or don’t have the tools to quantify it.
You can read studies all day to prove it to yourself but personally, I have always been more concerned with feeling it for myself.
This is part of every lifestyle prescription I make for my patients especially if they have a chronic disease or autoimmunity. Do it regularly for at least 30 minutes a day and you’ll start seeing the many benefits. Some of my favorite are the intense feeing of dropping back into your body and profound peace of mind.
It becomes addicting. You’ll sneak away and steal time from your busy days to feel it over and over again.
It is beautiful to know that there is literally potent medicine all around us. One of the many many reasons that I have immense gratitude and the deepest respect for the “simple” and for nature.
